About the Photos
BerlinNFTQuiz is a street photography project, which is shot in a contemporary way. It’s about capturing moments, especially the nighttime lights in the streets of Berlin and the nighttime happenings. The fascination with such illuminated scenes led to the idea for the project.
The emphasis is on impressions rather than photographic perfection and high-end photography. At the same time, the effects of digital photography are played with. Artificially created color effects are deliberately staged or, if not staged, tolerated. Alongside this is the desired realistic depiction of the scenery. The latter is only possible through a certain degree of desired blurriness, as it simultaneously precludes any violation of personal rights.
The project has two main presences, which result from the constellation of quiz and NFT. The first presence is on Instagram, where the photos are published first. Visitors can take part in the quiz and guess the locations depicted. Those who correctly guess the location will receive the photo as an NFT for free. For this purpose, the photos will be uploaded to Opensea after the quiz and stored as NFTs in a collection called BerlinStreetLights, which is the second more descriptive name of the project.
